Victor Valley Domestic Violence Inc. / A Better Way has been in the Victor Valley for over 33 years. The agency was Incorporated in 1993 and was founded by Margaret Diaz. She began the organization from her kitchen table. From those humble beginnings, the agency now has the Margaret Diaz Education Center and a 5 bedroom shelter that can support 25 occupants.
VVDV / A Better Way takes their mission of “Transforming Lives Affected by Domestic Violence” through their values of “Empathy – Education – Empowerment.” The dedicated team offers classes, classes in Spanish, sheltering, TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) support, domestic violence advocacy, and maintain partnerships with other agencies that specialize in services that often intersect with those that have experienced domestic violence.
